End of Life Care

Pet bereavement
Supporting quality of life
As cats age or live with chronic illness, changes can be subtle. Our role is to help you understand what you’re seeing, talk through options, and make decisions at a pace that feels manageable.
We can support you with:
- Monitoring comfort and quality of life
- Managing pain and chronic conditions
- Adjusting care plans as needs change
- Honest conversations about prognosis and next steps
We’ll always take the time to explain what’s happening, listen to your concerns and answer questions, including the ones that are hard to ask.

Compassionate support when the time comes
Saying goodbye to a cat you love is one of the hardest parts of sharing your life with them. At The Cat Clinic, we’re here to support you with kindness, honesty and respect, for both you and your cat.
Our aim for end-of-life care is comfort, dignity and doing what feels right for your individual cat and your family. We take great care to create a quiet, unhurried environment where you can say goodbye in your own way.
We’ll guide you through what to expect, support you throughout the process and give you the space you need - whether you wish to be present or prefer not to be.

Aftercare and ongoing support
Grief doesn’t end when the appointment does. If you need someone to talk to in the days and weeks that follow, Cats Protection and Blue Cross both offer bereavement support.
You’re never a burden for reaching out.
