Cat Groomers

All cats should be regularly groomed but it's particularly important for long-haired cats. Grooming helps to reduce the likelihood of furballs and helps keep the fur tangle free. It's advisable to start grooming kittens to help get them used to the routine. We've got a good selection of combs and brushes at the clinic and our staff can advise you on the best one for your cat.

We're aware that despite owners best efforts, it's sometimes necessary to call in the experts! At The Cat Clinic, we can help with the very badly matted cats which may require shaving while under the effects of a sedative. Owners should be very careful about trying to tackle mats themselves - it's not uncommon that we have to stitch up skin wounds when owners have inadvertently cut more than they expected.

For those cats which are slightly more co-operative, you may consider a professional cat groomer.
