CAT NEWS AND EVENTS, DECEMBER 2007:

Cat News:
Charity Christmas Card: Left it too late to send a friend a Christmas card by post? Not to worry- Cats Protection gives you the opportunity to send a charity greetings e-card. Not only do you help the environment, you'll be helping Cats Protection to help cats.

Cat Manners:
We don't get many mature entire tom cats in the clinic but when we see them, they're invariably very laidback patients and cope with anything that we throw at them. A recent study helps to support our observations that they are true gents. The study revealed that when feral cats go in search of food, the males let the females and kittens eat first. This surprising fact was revealed in a study of wild cats in Rome and is at odds with the usual observations of male animals getting first choice of tasty treats. "Testosterone- the caring hormone" - not a phrase we ever thought we could use!

New Cat Breed:
If you're lucky enough to have a spare bit of cash after Christmas, you might want to consider acquiring an Ashera kitten. Mind you, when we say spare cash, we're actually talking about twelve thousand pounds! If you've stopped coughing and spluttering, you might want to visit this link to find out more. Beautiful cats but what size of litter tray do they need?!

Kitty Collar:
Give your kitty the best chance of getting home with one of Kitty Collar's personalised cat collars. Your telephone number is printed directly on the collar, along with your address or a special message. A great idea for cats which are on special diets or medication but who like to visit the neighbour's houses. Brought to our attention by one of our clients.
