Appearance: A breed developed in the 1960’s by crossing a Burmese with a Siamese. In a litter of 4 kittens from Tonkinese parents there will be, on average, 2 kittens of Tonkinese colouring, 1 of Burmese colouring and 1 of Siamese colouring. Medium sized cat, surprisingly heavy when picked up. Again, all the various coat colours are represented but they do not reach adult colouration until at least 18 months old. The eye colour should be a blue-green shade.

Temperament: Active, friendly.
