Appearance: A breed developed in the 1960’s by crossing
a Burmese with a Siamese. In a litter of 4 kittens from Tonkinese
parents there will be, on average, 2 kittens of Tonkinese
colouring, 1 of Burmese colouring and 1 of Siamese colouring.
Medium sized cat, surprisingly heavy when picked up. Again,
all the various coat colours are represented but they do not
reach adult colouration until at least 18 months old. The
eye colour should be a blue-green shade.
Temperament: Active, friendly.
