photograph of Elvis, Devon RexTHE DEVON REX:

Appearance: Although they appear very like the Cornish Rex, the Devon Rex shares no genetic links with its geographic neighbour. Like the Cornish, they have the distinctive wavy coat, but both sets of guard hairs are present and they are much more twisty than the Cornish. They are generally a little more compact and muscular than the Cornish, with large pixie-like ears. Again most colour patterns are present.

Temperament: As the Cornish. Unusually, the Devon Rex wags its tail when content, unlike other breeds where a wagging tail signifies disapproval.

Hereditary Diseases: Muscular Dystrophy
