photograph of Bengal catTHE BENGAL:

Appearance: Relatively new breed developed by crossing Asian Leopard Cats with domestic cats. Medium sized cat with distinctively spotted coat, which should be dense, soft and silky.

Temperament: Independent, friendly but can be quite willful, especially if first or second generation cross.

Hereditary Diseases: Flat-chested kittens ( the kitten is born with an abnormal chest - flat rather than rounded. If severe, the kitten will die shortly after birth).
