PAWSS PET AMBULANCE SERVICE:
The PAWSS pet ambulance service is available
to all pet owners in and around Edinburgh. PAWSS (Pet Ambulance
Walking Sitting Services) is run by Leigh Daly, a veterinary
nurse. The ambulance service was trialed in Glasgow and proved
very successful so Leigh set up a second service covering the
Edinburgh area. The veterinary ambulance is available to owners
during the day to transport your pet to and from the clinic
but is also available through the night to take you and your
pet to the emergency treatment centre. It's obviously relatively
easy for our clients to drive or take a taxi to the clinic but
it's good to know that a dedicated ambulance service is also
available, the drivers being veterinary nurses or experienced
animal care auxiliaries. In addition, PAWSS can take your cat
to the cattery and can deliver repeat prescriptions or food
and litter to your door. PAWSS, as their full name suggests,
will shortly also offer catsitting and dogwalking services.
